Today I am thankful for many things.

One of the things I am most thankful for is my siblings. No matter how much we fight, how brutally honest they can be and how much they annoy me, I am blessed each and every day having the opportunity to call these two my brother and sister.

Give Thanks.

AM I DREAMING??

LAST NIGHT O BAX AND I MET TAYLOR (my FAVORITE <3) HANSON
OUT IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA!!

Literally have waited 13 years for this moment....
We talked. He was awkward and blinked weird. But maybe it was us? Who knows... STILL.
BEST DAY EVER.
Goal of the rest of our trip is to find the other two....

My 100th post of 100 things that I have learned thus far on the road.

1. Don't sweat the small stuff - I CANNOT stand complainers, if you have something crappy to say, Get A Diary!!  I can't get caught up in the tiny bumps in the road whether it be lost luggage, a grouchy flight attendant or the person sitting next to me having INTENSE BO.
2. Call home - There is ALWAYS time to call home, even if its for 30 seconds walking from gate to gate in an airport, or through a blue tooth headset on a rental car.
3. Be ADAPTABLE  - traveling and living in a life with NO routine can be hard. Going with the flow is the way to succeed!
4. EMBRACE PIMPLES - good LORD I have never seen my face the way it has been during some of my visits. I have drawn a conclusion and it is that the different air and water in different states treats my face differently!
5. Phone a friend, DAILY. Even though I have so many new friends, it can be such a great motivator to hear a familiar voice!
6. See new things!
7. EAT new things -- I will be the first to admit, I weigh more now that I did before. I go on walks, daily, but the ONLY excuse I will make for myself is when am I ever going to try Pork Roll or Moe's again besides when I am in a place where it is available to me. CHRISTMAS BREAK WILL BE A MAJOR DETOX, as will May when I am finished with my travels.
8. ALWAYS cheer for your Home Team!! I have PROUDLY taught all 9 campuses that I have been to how to appropriately cheer on The Frogs!
9. EXPLORE - I cannot tell you how many chapters have THANKED me for coming because of the places that they have explored in their own college towns. I have seen so many things already and still have 5 months to go.
10. STAY UP LATE - It can be easy to hop into my bed or couch and not genuinely get to know chapter members, but the memories I have made hanging out with members late at night have been some of the best.
11. Get some sleep - Living a life in a GIANT SLEEPOVER 24/7 it can be hard to say "it's time to go to bed", but sometimes SLEEP IS KEY to success.
12. Take walks. Walking is my time to explore and have "alone time". Sometimes chapter members come along with me on my adventures and I learn so many new things.
13. Have an open mind - Walking into chapters can be overwhelming and SCARY. Walking in with an open mind ready to embrace any opportunity is how I am able to LOVE each visit.
14. GO TO THE CAPITAL!!!!!! If you are CLOSE to a capital building, WHY NOT GO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF IT. I have seen SIX so far, and hope that number continues to increase.
15. Say Thank You! People sacrifice a lot in their normal routine to make me feel at home and one of the greatest things I can do is say Thanks!
16. Always paint your nails - it's a small task that I can do to make myself feel FRESH everyday.
17. Be Innovative - Never let a COKE MACHINE stop you from getting decent sleep. Use what you got to make it work, even if it involves sacrificing a blanket and a few pillows to block the light (blog post to come).
18. Never, I repeat, NEVER use a Ziploc as a main luggage device.
19. If family and or friends are near, figure out a way to see them in person. Even if it's for 30 seconds.
20. If an airlines ask you if you want pretzels, peanuts or a cookie.. get all three!
21. Remember that Fish are NOT made to be centerpieces of any kind.
22. Expect the unexpected - You never know when you'll see Sticky-Boobs laying around on an upside down trashcan...
23. Recruitment is Recruitment. No matter where you go, expect LITTLE SLEEP and TENSE interactions with people.
24. Pick up new hobbies - I attempted to learn how to knit, NOT a fan, but Blogging isn't too bad.
25. LOVE THE AIRPORT - Since I spend numerous hours hanging out in the airport, I have no choice but to embrace the CRITTERS that I encounter on a weekly basis.
26. NETWORK - My life is a blank canvas right now. I have my college degree and have realized that there is SO MUCH TO DO. Each person I meet and see is an opportunity to network and expand my options post TLC life.
27. Okay... I am on break and can't focus enough to write out 100 things... but

I HAVE MORE THAN 100 REASONS TO GIVE THANKS FOR and cannot begin to write it all out.

Peace, Love & CENTURIETH POST!

Just Another Day in Paradise

It is FIVE days before Thanksgiving here I am ... AT THE BEACH!
Today we woke up and took a drive from Fort Myers down to Naples, FL to explore the Pier in EIGHTY THREE degree weather!!
It was THE perfect day.
We laid out.
Explored the Pier.
AND I walked away WITHOUT a sunburn.

SO MUCH to be thankful for. Beaches. My job. Sunshine. Etc.

Chomp Chomp

These past 5 days I have spent exploring a well known SEC school,
The University of Florida.

This campus was NOTHING like I expected. I don't know what I imagined it took look like, but I know for sure I never thought I would feel like I was literally in a SWAMP.
Here you see, there are a few actual swamps in the middle of campus...not something you see everyday.
A cool fact that I learned is that the building below, Century Tower, has more foot traffic during the day than the entrance to Disney! AKA.. this school is HUGE!!
It's so big that riding scooters is a thing here & there is an underground tunnel to avoid crossing busy scooter filled/traffic-y streets. HILARIOUS seeing everyone zoom past me while I frolic around on foot.
The stadium though... Pretty much what I pictured, but more awesome to see with my own two eyes!(& yeah I know my pictures are terrible and don't do it justice)
And yeah, I snooped around enough to find Tim Tebow & friends Heisman Trophies!
& the best part of the whole trip is that I had the chance to stay in another ZTA house and hang out with 200+ amazing women!
Fun Fact: Gamma Iota was the chapter that Erin Andrews was initiated into!

HEADED TO RENT A CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE TO HEAD TO THE COAST!

TONIGHT

I found out that BEN RECTOR was going to be PERFORMING ON CAMPUS!! For those of you that don't know who he is, Ben is a musician that makes music that you can't help but SMILE and DANCE around in your underwear (delirious)!!

I have created a little playlist for those of you that might want to check him out at your desk at work, in bed, in class, or wherever you might be ;) ... My suggestion to listen to first is Dance with Somebody. Can't go wrong starting or ending your day with a little rendition of Whitney Houston.

Preach

One week from today I will be reunited with my family. It's Monday. A start to a FRESH week. And. I. Am. So. Thankful! I don't believe in that posting every day on social media giving thanks for your dog and your house and your blah blah blah. I am thankful for all of those things EVERY day. I honestly have taken those things for granted in the past when they are at my disposal, but today I am sitting under a palm tree in Florida just thinking about how amazing life is and how I cannot do anything but just be grateful for what God has given to me.

I don't know where this sappy post came from, but GIVE THANKS people.

SWAMP PEOPLE

This morning, the house mom wanted to take me to "La Chua Trail"... one of my favorite things back home to do is walk the Katy Trail or the Trinity Tail, so I was PUMPED to get to experience a Florida Trail, but let me just tell you... La Chua Trail in Gainesville, FL is NOT like any Texan Trail.

Little did I know.. I was going on a GATOR HUNT!!!
We start out on a bridge and I think to myself.. Oh this isn't bad, they will just be below me in the marsh (SAT VOCAB WORD OF THE DAY).
The bridge slowly fades into stomped on grass..
And then I see this sign...

AND THE REST IS HISTORY

All of these Gators are REAL people.

Thankfully this Park Ranger was at the END of the trail....NOT? If anyone got chomped on along the way he would've never known.
No I was NOT in a car & No this was NOT a zoo.

Was this safe...mmm probably not, but I found me some WILD GATORS!!

CHOMP CHOMP!

Tis The Season

SEASONS GREETINGS from my working a "Night Shift" in ORLANDO, FL!
This may not be Universal Studios or Disney, but it was definitely the next best thing!!
University of Central Florida has an event every Holiday Season called "Light Up UCF" and I just so happened to be here for Student Night!
Tonights events included:
1. SNOW
2. Sledding
3. A Ferris Wheel Ride
^LOL at the quality of this picture, too excited I couldn't hold my hand steady
4. A VIP ride with Santa
5. A VISIT WITH KNIGHTRO, UCF's MASCOT in a SANTA SUIT!!
6. And...... ICE SKATING!!!

I usually would be against Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but how could I pass up some of my FAVORITE things on a night like tonight. Oh especially when its an outdoor activity with the current temperature at... 65 degrees. Happy!!!
