COLDarado

I am alive.
& would apologize for not blogging much, but sorry I am not sorry that I have been a bum pretty much all week.
This week has been one I will remember for ever.
I saw the very first GOOSE EGG on my phone in the Weather App.
Got to watch a parade of tractors and dump trucks spray sand and ice melter or whatever on the roads and sidewalks.
And if 0 wasn't cold enough for me to witness, I got to see NEGATIVES on my phone and how bad -18 degrees STINGS on the skin!!!
At first I thought the negatives were really funny and cracked up as I walked around this large campus to find the Greek Life Office, but on my way home my bottom lip froze to where I couldn't talk on the phone to distract myself. I could hardly take it much longer.
Usually I would go on walks, but what's a girl supposed to do in NEGATIVE degree weather with HOLES in her rain boots.... I tried to put tape on the holes, but the slush outside didn't help it stick.
The key is LAYERS. Thermal long sleeve, plus a sweater, plus a parka, plus a scarf, and ear wrap and two pairs of socks AND don't forget mittens.
I don't wanna hear how cold you people are at home in 18 degrees with a little bit of snow falling on the ground... Ain't nobody got time to listen to that.

Peace, Love & I survived the very real possibility of fingers falling off in the cold

HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA.

There is NOTHING like going for a casual night drive around campus to see the fresh layer of snow covering "The Oval" (a focal point at CSU) and looking at the car window seeing a collegian SKIING LAPS!!

This picture is EXTREMELY blurry, but I couldn't stop CRACKING up long enough to have a steady hand to catch this Olympian GETTIN' AFTER IT!!! These people claim that it is "Cross Country Skiing"... but ummm what?? Flat land, no hills...
This Texas girl is CONFUSED.

Bi-Son!!

On the scenic drive back from the Capitol to Fort Collins, SOMETHING shiny was right off the highway... AKA "The Trade Post".
I thought to myself, YOWO (You're Only in Wyoming Once).. why not take a quick detour and see what this state is about.

As we pulled up and looked around I knew we were in a place unlike any other.
The scenery looked straight up like a clip from a creepy movie.
The pictures below are of some carnival rides... looked to me like scrap metal thrown together.
Who wants to go for a little spin on the ferris wheel??
There were ostriches
A JACKELOPE, which took about .3 seconds for me to hop on
Some llamas
AND a VIP "TRAIN" RIDE to get up close and personal with BISON
I felt super safe after the conductor told stories about how the train sometimes gets bucked off of the track by the bison, and how his dad was launched out one of the windows by one and broke 26 bones in one hit...
As we rode along the ride I was LOVING life and all of the critters that I got to see. I was enjoying my "up close and personal" experiences with the bison, but I didn't realize just HOW CLOSE I would be able to get to these things.
LIKE TONGUE LICKING CLOSE.
I got to pet my new friends, feed them "cake", smell their breath and illegally touch their sand papery tongue.
I'd like to say it was a $12 well spent.

Two, Four, Six, EIGHT!!

I made it to ANOTHER Capitol in a NEW state that I have never been to before.
 HELLO CHEYENNE, WYOMING.
Upon entering this capitol I was greeted by Mr. Washakie, a TERRIFYING individual that I would bet money comes to life at night.
& paid my respect to the seal that was roped off so pedestrians wouldn't disrespect it by walking all over it.
HOLLA to the lady that let us take a VIP tour inside!
The capitol was much much smaller than ones that I have seen on the road, but had it's own characteristics that made it unique.
I loved the fancy stained glass ceilings.
AND THIS FREAKIN' BUFFALO
Our stranger friend also took us to check out the house and senate or idk if those are what the rooms are called.. don't ask which is which.

Peace, Love & 42 to go!!

Oh PS.. if you ever go to Wyoming (I know you all are rushing to write it on your bucket list), look for the "8 foot tall" boots that are all over town.
