TOURIST TUESDAY!!!

Today all of my TOURISTY dreams came true at ANOTHER CAPITAL!!

A few days ago I got a schedule change and had the opportunity to travel a few hours ummm North, East, South, or West.. (I honestly don't even know) to North Carolina! When I googled where was going I discovered I would be in Raleigh, THE CAPITAL OF NC! So my fake obsession with capitals came back into my life. I had a mission and it was accomplished.

Here's this tall historical pole.

And a man of history that I COULD RECOGNIZE - Mr. George Washington.

And my new friend, Zeb! 

And the only picture I could snap with the top of the capital in it.

I don't care what you are doing. Who you are. If you are stumbling across this post right now I hope that you all SOAK in WHATEVER is going on in your LIFE!

Working with collegians who have class, sorority, work, families, boyfriends, etc reminds me daily how important balance is in life and how easy it is to get overwhelmed. The world can't be ignored and things need to be done, but you can choose the mindset of: "I GET to go to work", "I GET to go to class" instead of "I HAVE to go to work" and "I HAVE to go to class". Don't turn your blessings into a chore. Be grateful that you have an opportunity for an education or are blessed with having a job, etc. Some people don't "GET" to do the things that you get to do. 

On this Monday, find something you love about work or school and FOCUS on that so you can ENJOY where you are and what you're doing.

I love that this motivation all came from a wrinkled up piece of foil.

There's something about a complete stranger trusting you with their computer, phone AND fedora...today I had the opportunity to be the stranger trusted by a stranger and it made me feel confident about how people perceive me - not that I am striving to be perceived as a trusted individual but hey i'll take it.
