Just Sittin'

My second to last flight during my TLC experience and I have encountered my first CANCELLED flight. Although I had to wake up before the sun rose to rush to the airport to get here on time, I spent my 7 hours of "Freetime" exploring the DFW airport. OH, and I got rebooked on a DIRECT flight so thanks rainstorm!
Can't hate getting my 12,000 steps for the day before 2:00 in the afternoon.
During my laps around this zoo of cowboys and angry pedestrians, I could not help but LAUGH at all of the Texas inspired souvenirs and shops around the airport. I NEVER realized how Texas is just... Texas... until leaving and learning what other people think of The Lone Star State... Maybe this is why??
Could it be because this LARGE Texas-Sized Texas flag that you can't miss.
Or not just the Marketplace, but the TEXAS Marketplace.
Or the "Lone Star Attitude" Mootique, I mean Boutique.
 COMPLETE with longhorn headed mannequins.
Or what about the Texas Flag neck pillows, T-Shirts, etc etc... Love this place.

As I continued to walk around I saw SO MANY new "things to do" that I have never encountered in an airport before.
Like this LABYRINTH that SINGS when you walk by it
 And this Arcade-Style CPR game?
This fun Cave-Lookin Tunnel
This Eye-Candy, Candy Shop... SMART marketing PPL.
 A Victoria's Secret/Pink Shop
AND A YOGA STUDIO (more like Yoga Pad)!!
The trip was complete with a view of a TSA personnel getting a taste of her own medicine with a nice little pat down from a co-worker. WHO DUN IT?

This experience could be yours too with 7 hours to spare and a short 4 miles walked (tracked via Fit Bit) completely through Gates B, C and D.

Had a short but sweet trip back home to Texas for the weekend to celebrate our Risen King with some of my favorite people.
I started out my visit with a quick trip to Dallas to one of my favorite bands, Green River Ordinance, UP CLOSE & PERSONAL with my favorite gals.
^^ I spy with my little eye... CELEBS aka Me and my peepz in this VIP photo (gaze to the right)
Easter was spent with the sibs then on the porch swinging on a BEAUTIFUL spring day!!
& then with my favorite critters hunting eggs and rehiding them to hunt them again. And again.

Off to my second to last visit before my journey is over.
SOAKING IN THE FINAL MOMENTS OF PEOPLE WATCHING AT THE AIRPORT.

To Be Honest...

I think I discovered a LEGIT fear that I have... going to museums ALONE.
I spent this rainy Seattle day at the Burke museum, a place that is highly recognized as a place to see at U Dub's campus. I was just trying to be cultured, but was SPOOOOOKED.
The first victim that gave me the HEEBIE JEEBIES was this GIANT skeleton of a mammoth or something? I refused to get close enough where I could read the label.
I don't know what my issue is, I guess I watched Night at the Museum a few too many times, unfortunately I couldn't find Robin Williams or Ben Stiller.
Thanks to the glass cage I was able to observe this Stegosaurus head up close for a good 3 seconds and a dinosaur leg bone.
Then I came across the world of totem poles and CREEPY masked faces and other goblin looking things. I am not hating on any cultures, just stating the facts that these are definitely some throw back figures that I do not miss here in the 21st century... or maybe we do, I just need to pop my bubble and go learn about the world around me.
Then I met THESE friends............If you think you can convince me that these critters DON'T come alive at night... you can't.
One of my final sightings was "The First Seattle Coffee Mug" which was made out of ... I forgot. But it was neat.
And this drawer that I will always wonder what is inside, but couldn't gain enough courage to slide it open.
And FINALLY, I have to give a shout out to the HORNED FROGS on display.
137 days til kickoff peopleeeee!!

Had the sweetest time enjoying Sisterhood at Alki Beach
(pronounced Al-KHI not Alch-Y just in case y'all attempt to pronounce it)
Despite the PRIME KITE FLYIN' wind,
Couldn't hate my toes in the sand and THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENERY
I learned how to make "Poop in a Pillow" aka Chocolate tucked away in a freshly toasted marshmallow
Roasted some Hot Dogs like a CHAMP
Spent time with some of my favorite people
And watched the sun set over the shore
Okay, Patagonia...
Have I mentioned that I LOVE THIS PLACE!!????

I had the BEST weekend here in Seattle. Went to the fair, spent a day downtown and RODE THE DUCKS!
My people here surprised me with the BEST way to tour Seattle....
via "Duck". Somebody call Ms. Frizzle cause this is the next best thing since the Magic School Bus.
Our ticket included a complimentary DUCK BILL that QUACKED. Sorry I am not sorry other passengers. We quacked until we were light headed.
On the tour we saw, the first automatic car wash
Got up close and personal with the needle

Caught a glimpse of the skyline
And had the chance to see Seattle from the water
The day ended with a trip to the Water Front
Where the Chihuahuas even conform to "street life" in Seattle
Can't hate a sunny day by the BAY

Peace, Love & Quackin' Up
